'AN IRRESISTIBLY ENJOYABLE HIT! Catherine Johnson's witty and ingenious script weaves the famous ABBA songs around characters you care about. At the end the whole audience is on its feet and swaying blissfully along to the hits. What a pleasure to see that girl, watch that scene and dig the Dancing Queen. SHEER HEAVEN!' • 39 Steps tickets, London

It's been a classic John Buchan spy novel and a Hitchcock film. Now, the 39 Steps play is transformed into a hilarious spoof. This 39 Steps London production is probably the best comedy showing in the West End right now. Whatever you do this year, grab 39 Steps tickets for a guaranteed good time! Richard Hannay is still the stiff-upper lipped Englishman who finds himself wrapped up in top secret mission to stop military secrets getting into the hands of the swinish Bosch. What makes this 39 Steps theatre production such a hoot (for actors and audience) is in the way it pokes fun at itself. The London 39 Steps staging is knowingly and wittily full of comic gold with deliberate lines like “there’s the telephone” before the ringing actually starts.
    • Billy Elliot tickets, London

It used to be that the stage musical came before the movie version. The Billy Elliot London musical based on the film about an 11-year-old boy from a coal mining village in County Durham who dreams of becoming a ballet dancer is a triumph. Critics have said that the Billy Elliot musical London production is quite possibly the greatest British musical they have ever seen. That’s a bold claim when you’re up against the likes of Oliver, but the Billy Elliot musical more than stands comparison with the greats. There is a warm humour and humanity in the Billy Elliot London show that is entertaining, imaginative and big-hearted. While the film rocked out to hits from T Rex, the Billy Elliot theater version benefits from cracking tunes by Sir Elton John.
    • Blood Brothers tickets, London

The musical Blood Brothers remains fresh and new and there can be no doubt that the show belongs among the greats of British musical theatre. It’s worth giving blood for tickets Blood Brothers! Although more than 25 years have passed since the Blood Brothers premiered at the Liverpool Playhouse, Willy Russell's masterpiece has more than stood the test of time. The Blood Brothers theater experience has even more resonance today. Blood Brothers London combines an explosive mix of drama, comedy and song. Set in depressed, impoverished Liverpool of the 1960’s, this Blood Brothers musical version retains all its pathos and power. Our heroine works as a char, so poor and desperate she must give away one of her newborn twins to her employer. London Blood Brothers is a superb combination of comedy and tragedy with stirring songs.
    • Chicago tickets, London

A Chicago musical ticket is a hot item! The Chicago musical London production has been through more changes of personnel than Dr Who’s had regenerations, but it’s still a great show! Set in the 1920's world of gangsters and graft, the Chicago musical plot revolves around Roxie Hart’s attempts to evade an inconvenient murder charge that's getting in the way of her career. She turns to perhaps the greatest creation of Chicago musical theatre, Billy Flynn, the devious lawyer who uses his old 'razzle-dazzle' to generate sympathy for his equally guilty clients in the press. That’s a central role and no matter who is cast, Chicago musical tickets guarantee a performance of strong presence and persuasive charm to carry it off.
    • Dreamboats and Petticoats tickets, London

Sound familiar? The Dreamboats and Petticoats musical was inspired by one of the biggest-selling albums ever. The Dreamboats and Petticoats show is packed full of memorable tunes from stars like Roy Orbison and The Shadows but this is no mindless jukebox jive. A witty script from writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran means Dreamboats and Petticoats the musical is more than just feel-good nostalgia. Dreamboats and Petticoats London tickets are gold dust. It’s not just the writing or superb cast that makes Dreamboats and Petticoats theatre at its entertaining best. An impressive set design cleverly moves from scene to scene, even accommodating a day at the seaside. Dreamboats and Petticoats London theatre can transport you to the Essex of the 1960’s in the believable blink of an eye.
